Color & You with Eloise Larson

Color and You

Painting workshop with Eloise Larson

October 21 – 25, 2019

“Color and You”, a 5-day painting, taught by Eloise Larson, will be held at Liberty Arts Gallery in Yreka, October 21st-25th.

Participants will be guided as they work from individual experiences. Students will also explore the building blocks of art; line, shape, dark and light values, texture and color. The workshop includes an introduction to the basic characteristics of color.

Focusing on personal thoughts and ideas the message of a painting becomes obvious. The visual building blocks create a strong foundation and helps a viewer to see the artist’s meaning in the work.

No art experience is necessary, and any experience is welcome. Because of the unique nature of each workshop, previous workshop participants will find a new and challenging studio adventure. Participants may choose to show their work at a public reception on Friday, October 25th, from 5-7 pm, in the Liberty Arts gallery. More information on the nature of the workshop can be found at www.libertyartsyreka.org.

The registration fee for this 5-day studio workshop is $350.  If you register before October 10th and the fee is discounted by $50 to $300! Larson provides all paints and paper needed by students.
