“Through abstract art, the unseen is revealed through what is seen.
This exhibition visually interprets the essence of emotion whether it be peaceful, chaotic, or simply aesthetic.
I was first inspired to paint in the abstract after viewing a Jackson Pollock exhibit. Although there was nothing representational in the works, it was very energized with content.
In this exhibition, The Unseen Seen, shows a variety of abstract art from the 20th into the 21st Century through the works of the four artists represented.
In the current work I am developing, I am composing various themes, some taken from nature, infused with symbols. A similar approach is illustrated through the works of the other three artists in sculpture, painting and photography.” … Daryl Brooks

Would love to see at least one woman abstract artist in this exhibit.
It is interesting that the artist mentions Pollock. During that period of artmaking there were many fine abstract painters who just happened to be women but they rarely got shown.
Thank you for your interest Stephanie. All of our exhibitions are proposed and selected by Liberty Arts members. This particular show was proposed at our 2016 Annual Member’s Meeting. The curator, Daryl Brooks, proposed this exhibition to specifically include the four artists listed.
