Albert Dicruttalo’s sculpture draws on forms found in nature and industry. Working primarily in steel and bronze, Albert’s sculpture is created with great attention to detail and transition between forms. A reverence of organic forms in combination with geometry informs the work, creating shapes that are both recognizable and mysterious. They are intellectual puzzles that convey surprising emotional weight.
The paintings of Katie Hawkinson draw on light and space to create canvases that convey a mastery of her medium. Katie’s process is evident in her painting: rich brushwork revealing layers of thoughts and complex spatial relationships. In dialogue with the paint and canvas, Katie responds both intuitively and sagaciously to develop a compelling visual language that invites the viewer to join her on a journey. Her resulting paintings feel alive and proudly autonomous.

Wow … so sorry I missed this show; wished I lived closer to LA.
This was a beautiful exhibition Cynthia. Actually both artists are from the Bay Area.
