Liberty Arts Welcomes New Assistant Director
A New Era for Liberty Arts Gallery

Liberty Arts Gallery welcomes Sharon LoMonaco (above right) as its new Assistant Director. This is a new position that will be responsible for various duties including grant-writing, fiscal and program management, community outreach, marketing and more. Sharon will be adopting some responsibilities from Executive Director Kim Presley, who has been working fervently since launching the organization in 2008, and is ready to delegate some of her day-to-day operations, while still guiding the big-picture vision.

Additionally, Sharon will pick up some of the duties handed off from former Marketing Director Nikolas Allen (above left), whose role with the gallery shifted in February from Marketing Director to Online Marketing Contractor. Allen will continue to maintain and produce media for the gallery website, email newsletter and YouTube video channel. However, instead of being an employee of the organization, as he has been for the past 2.5 years, Liberty Arts will contract Allen’s services through his Mt. Shasta-based marketing company BAM! Small Biz Consulting.

Sharon LoMonaco is an active member of Siskiyou County’s arts community. She is a fine art painter, graphic artist, textile artist, seamstress and has produced her own line of K.I.S.S. Natural Soaps available in area boutiques. Sharon co-owns River Run Gallery in Weed with husband, David Gochenour. She brings a wealth of operational experience, enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and a genuine passion for the arts.

Sharon joins current staff members, Bee Soulé and Debhra Martin, and will be working in the gallery every Wednesday and Thursday, from 10am – 5pm. Be sure to stop by the gallery to introduce yourself and welcome Sharon to the Liberty Arts family!
