Liberty Arts Annual Members' Show

Liberty Arts Gallery is pleased to present our 5th Annual Members’ Show opening Friday, March 1, 2013.

The soup theme started with Stone Soup in 2010.
Then there was Gazpacho in 2011.
We served Mulligatawny in 2012.

Now, 2013 brings us the latest in our soup-themed Members’ Shows, Vichyssoise (pronouced vish-ee-swah), which is named after the creamy potato-leek concoction made famous by a French chef at the Ritz-Carlton in 1950s New York.

For the past two years, our Members’ Show has taken place in the dry heat of Yreka summertime. However, they say Vichyssoise can be served hot or cold, so this year it will be served March 1st, on the cool side of spring.

Members’ Show Guidelines

• All current Members can bring ONE piece of art to exhibit in the show.
• “Current” means your Membership dues have been paid since February 2012.
• If you are unsure of your Membership status, call Liberty Arts at 530-842-0222 to inquire.
• There is no jury process – if your Membership is current, you are welcome to exhibit.
• However, no repeats allowed – if your piece has already been shown any time at Liberty Arts, it will not be accepted in the show.
• Art must be properly framed, mounted or otherwise ready-to-hang for gallery presentation.
• The soup theme is in name only – content-wise, there is no theme and anything goes.

My submission DOES NOT hang, but needs to “sit” on something other than the floor. Will that be possible? And it is not very big either!

That will be fine Inge ~ We’ve got plenty of pedestals to sit your art piece upon! We look forward to seeing your work in the show.
