Help spread the idea virus at Liberty Arts’ community-created public art exhibit,”GO VIRAL!”
Back in February 2012, Liberty Arts Gallery invited the public to come in and paint directly on the walls, which were segmented into various shapes with green painter’s tape.
The show was called, ANICCA – 500 Hours of Art, and it was our highest-attended exhibit in the history of the gallery.
Community Members create “ANICCA” public exhibit at Liberty Arts Gallery in February 2012.
This December, for the final exhibit of 2012, we are revisiting the concept with the GO VIRAL!
THE CONCEPT: Instead of painting directly on the wall, visitors will have access to pre-cut panels of various materials and all the art supplies they need to produce their masterworks. Artists can create their piece before or after they adhere their panel to the wall.
HERE’S THE CATCH: When hanging your panel, it has to connect/touch an existing panel on the wall, so the entire matrix of panels starts in one spot before spreading like a virus across the gallery walls.

I would love to be involved in creating a piece for this event, I know of possibly a few others who may want to do this as well! It sounds like a lot of fun!
Hey Mike, you are welcome to come and join us for “GO VIRAL!” Bring your friends, it will be a hoot! Hope to see you at the opening on Dec. 7th at 5pm.
I see the opening reception of “Go Viral” is Dec 7th from 5-7 pm. Is that the date we are to come and create art? I scoured your email and could find no other date. Thanks for all you do!
Hi Jacquie – YES, visitors will be creating art at the opening reception (the date and time you mentioned), however, visitors are also welcome to come and create art at the gallery during regular business hours (Wed – Sat, 10am – 5pm) throughout the run of the show. We hope to see you here!
Sounds like fun! I’m around with time to help, let me know what you need. I’ll check at the gallery on Wednesday also. jane
Sounds great, Jane! We would appreciate your help, thank you!
I really enjoyed the ANICCA SHOW. I would definitely like to be involved in this show. Please keep me posted. Would it be possible to do another sculpture type piece?
Thanks Don
Hi Don, you made sculpture work before, so you could certainly do it again! Hope to see you at the opening!
