Liberty Arts presents the chilling sensation of “FEAR!” through art that illuminates the darkness of the human psyche.
“FEAR!” is a group exhibition curated by Brenda Woods and Nikolas Allen, with special guest juror, Mimi Isbell.
“Feminine Protection” by Kimberly Piazza
Creepy Jewelry by Kerry Greene
Congratulations to artist, Mimi Isbell, who sold both of her Little Red Riding Hood-inspired pieces on Opening Night. (Note: Mimi was also a guest juror for “FEAR!” Curators and jurors are allowed to include up to 2 pieces of their own work, depending on available space.)
Detail of “Bad Joker” by Joel Shelton
Detail of “Encounter” by Cora Brownell
The “FEAR!” exhibition includes a nice mix of 2-D and 3-D works of art.
“Dance Of The Tree People” by Rajiv Hotek
Talk about facing your fear – every time Liberty Arts’ Creative Director, Kim Presley, enters the gallery, she sees her son trapped under ice in her piece called, “Stifled.”
“Munch * Seuss * Scream” by sculptor David Gochenour
Photographs by Roger Carol
With “The Only Thing We Have To Fear Is Fear Itself,” artist Rajiv Hotek invites viewers to reach their hands into the dark, velvet depths of the little doorway…if they dare!
“Homage To An Abused River Nymph” by Ron Richards contains great color, texture, and…
…sculptural relief that pops the piece right off the canvas.
“FEAR!” comes in many shapes and sizes.
The tiny woman up on the cliff is “Living On The Edge” in Jane Hall’s mixed-media sculpture.
Lisa Hansen’s interactive installation requires viewers to look into the little microscope…
…to discover what she calls, “My Heebie Jeebie.”
Joel Shelton has hidden endless creepy faces within the drips, cracks and crevices of “Mr. Feeble.”
