Sounding the LIght, Sound Healing in the 21st Century

SAT,  MARCH 11TH & 25TH    7 PM
140 S. 11th Street, Montague, CA
(UPSTAIRS IN THE WOOLY LOFT)

Please join us this Saturday evening or March 25th, at 7pm for an evening of Joy/Bliss and Fun.  We will join our voices and sound our prayers thru Toning/sounding vowel sounds. This practice is very powerful for releasing stress and tension in our lives. Experience how Sound can be utilized as a tool for mental/emotional healing. Sound is a carrier wave of consciousness, and combined with loving intention, our prayers will go forth as sound waves carrying our request.  Sound Healing is a combination between new science and spirituality without dogma.  I will also be facilitating a group Sound Healing Meditation/Journey, feel free to come with an intention of something you would like to work with or experience during this special time together.

Sinking Into Wilderness

2nd Saturday Opening Reception | 5 – 7 pm

Watercolorist Kim Solga, abstract painter Carol Jenkins and sculptor Wataru Sugiyama bring their talents to Siskiyou Arts Museum’s gallery with an opening reception April 8, 2017, from 5 to 7pm.

Havasu, Kim SolgaKim Solga first began painting scenes of the wilderness as a young teacher in McCloud, California, in the early 1970’s. 45 years later, she still lives and works at the foot of Mount Shasta and travels into the backcountry of the North American west on foot and by raft.

Carol-Jenkins-Along-the-Little-ColoradoCarol Jenkins’ paintings express the joy she feels in wild terrain. Using acrylic, oil, texture and line she explores the shifting of light and shadow across untamed land, the glint of sunshine on rushing water.

Wataru Sugiyama is a professional sculptor in stone, bronze, wood, and ceramics. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1956, has lived in the U.S. since 1986, and currently lives and works at his craft in Ashland, Oregon.
